Star Trek is to delve into the world of pod casting, hosted by one of the stars of Lower Decks.
Podcasts are big business these days; the chance to discuss an array of subjects from sport to popular entertainment and modern-day life and culture and share that with anyone who wants to listen. It offers a platform for people to speak passionately about topics that are close to their hearts, or of course vent in frustration because its all going wrong. They come in all shapes and genres from comedy to political, from the sciences to game show formats and beyond.
Similar to the likes of Youtube, podcasts can take an average Joe from the street and propel them to celebrity status within a very short time frame; Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more are testament to that fact. It now seems that almost any property or franchise has some kind of podcast that can be associated with it, if you search for Star Trek there is a whole raft of options to choose from and now, you can add another name to that list.
That’s because CBS Television Studios and Star Trek Global Franchise Group are launching their own official Star Trek podcast.
